Superman vs. Superalien

Superman vs. Superalien, originally uploaded by Thorsten Becker.
Here’s one for the comic and movie connoisseurs: I recently read the Superman/Aliens comic and noticed an interesting detail: After Superman gets infected with an Alien embryo (being away from the sun and slowly losing his powers) he barely makes it back to Earth, exposes himself to the sun and eventually regurgitates the chestburster. The fate of the creature is not further described. Let’s presume it is still alive. Now, according to the various novels, comics and other material the following facts have been established concerning the Xenomorph:
- Aliens survive in space for some time
- They adopt their host’s DNA
- They grow rapidly within a few hours
Considering the nearby space station it’s plausible that the Alien could reach said station, grow and wreak extensive havoc due to possessing some of Superman’s strength. To fight it Superman may resort to his sunlight-absorbing black solar suit, collect an abundance of solar power and then confront the creature on the damaged and partially disabled station. But in the end it’s just me spinning some yarn (and no, I didn’t bother reading the Superman/Aliens II comic; it didn’t really entice me while flipping through).
