Star Wars – Lord Samanur, originally uploaded by Thorsten Becker.

The following fanfiction is a follow-up to Count Dooku: Redemption. The idea for this custom action figure and the accompanying story stems for a comment left on a picture of my first Count Dooku custom here.

“Does hate and anger always lead to the dark side? Is there such a thing as righteous hate and anger? And if so, what effect would have exercising them on the dark side? Count Dooku, better known now as Drak the Shadow and Drak the Judge, had pondered these questions ever since gaining consciousness in the Netherworld. It ultimately led to his ability of leaving that wretched place, this tormented form of existence, albeit only for limited periods of time. Convincing and recruiting likeminded aides, in the netherworld as well as in the real world, he followed through on his theory that hate and anger can be used for good, countering the principles and ideals of the dark side itself as if fire fights fire, throwing its followers into agony and despair. Though one fact slipped Drak’s attention for the better part of his mission: that the heart of many sentient beings is treacherous and desperate. Ones intentions can cloud ones judgment. Often those delivered from evil turned to evil in their blind desire for revenge and justice and many times those judged displayed a change of heart.

Hate and anger are powerful emotions, like ravaging waters rushing down a mountain laying waste to everything in its path. They need guidance, limits and restraint to be tools of the light. Arriving at that conclusion Dooku deliberately retreated into the Netherworld accompanied by those willing to admit their own lack of control and focus. Perfecting the art of guided, righteous hate and anger Drak emerged a century later as the white figure referred to as Sam’Anur the Wise. Weakened in body but strengthened in spirit he began training those willing to learn his teachings. A constant threat to the principles of the dark side he was hunted by its disciples and even the Jedis were not looking favorable upon him, aware of his villainy centuries ago. Disconnecting from the Force altogether to shield his presence he soon discovered powers equally potent to those of the Force.

Still being a magnificent swordfighter he now wields a cortosis blade rather than the traditional lightsaber as a sign of having abandoned the ways of the Force, though he is mostly seen carrying a modified vibro lance, allowing him to amplify his powers.”
