Count Dooku: Redemption

Star Wars – Darth Tyranus, originally uploaded by Thorsten Becker.
“Realizing that he was betrayed by his master and filled with anger and despair at his current predicament Count Dooku also sensed Anakin’s inner turmoil and hesitation. In fact Anakin’s emotions resonated so strongly with Dooku’s own that the count’s consciousness was pulled into the netherworld the moment his body died, a place resonating with the thoughts and feelings of all those tormented by guilt, anger, hate and overwhelming grief.
On the verge of total insanity Dooku focused his thoughts on a single goal: revenge on those that betrayed him. Feeding on the chaos around him for more than a hundred years he reconnected with the dark side of the force, ultimately opening a gateway to the physical world.
Being able to sustain a corporal form for only a few hours a day he recognized that his current state was neither life nor death. He hatched a plan to betray the dark side itself using its power and allure against it in hoping to gain salvation. Sworn to bring to justice anyone guilty of betrayal he began recruiting a well trained army of hunters and judges while searching for others trapped in the netherworld to aid him in his cause.”

I am certainly not the first to note that Christopher Lee playing a dark lord of the sith by the name of “Count Dooku” instantly triggers parallels to his former role as Count Dracula. There are a few similarities between the two characters, especially in personality and demeanor. So here is my take on what if Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus would return in the appearance of the other Count D. For details regarding this image please click on the picture.
