I think it's generally harder for men to express how they feel due to upbringing and various conventions. The display of emotions is considered a feminine trait and a sign of vulnerability, something that can potentially be exploited. Looking at it this way it is actually a sign of insecurity if a man has difficulty expressing his feelings, out of fear of being misjudged or misunderstood, as the fact remains that all human beings have emotions regardless of gender. Admittedly men don't feel on the same level as women as we significantly rationalize our choices but nevertheless "allowing" ourselves to feel a certain way actually contributes to making good decisions hence feeling more sure and confident.
