Sometimes we're adrift, lost at sea
Thrown hither and tither from wave to wave.
Floating atop, barely at times.
Afraid of sinking to ocean's bottom so deep.
Then, suddenly, just as all hope seems lost
A distant shore emerges on the horizon,
A gentle breeze bringing us closer and closer.
But when finally we reach safe haven at land
We wonder “Will I ever be found?”
Take to heart, eyes searching will see,
Those looking closely for treasures will find
That which once was adrift and lost at sea,
Cherishing and loving all of who we are.
