Fata Morgana

Fata Morgana, originally uploaded by Thorsten Becker.

On the horizon in the far distance
Figures emerge, a caravan of dreams.
Dancing cheerfully, inviting us to join,
Yet their shifting kind remains illusive.
In the wastelands of our souls
Their music and songs fill a void.
We awaken for a moment from our slumber
Looking, gazing, longing for more.
Closing our eyes, falling back to sleep,
Forever chasing fata morganas.
