Summer in my head

Summer in my head, originally uploaded by Thorsten Becker.

Walking through the memories of summer in my head
It's a breezy day, warm and generous
Strolling down a cobblestone path, hands in pocket
Taking a deep breath, stopping
Eyes closed, listening to the wind in the willows
To the rustling and shuffling of the grass
I smile, moving onward
Kicking stones on the way
Air filled with buzzing sounds
Buzzards soaring above, watchful eyes
Don't wake me
Until the snakes come out of their holes
For outside
The world is dying a white death
No longer want to listen to the silent agony
Let me dream
To the music of the south wind

Got another foot of snow, hoping for spring to banish winter back to it's northern quarters soon. Listening to Vangelis' Chariots of Fire soundtrack immediately soothed the senses and triggered memories of warm and breezy summer days.
