Saskia stormed into the cafe with this “you won’t believe what just hap­pened” expres­sion on her face, her coat and hair drip­ping from the rain out­side.
“Peo­ple around here are such jerks. This bas­tard pulls into my park­ing space the moment I’ve lined up. I..,” she said before being gen­tly inter­rupted by Steffan’s smile and hug.
“Hi hon. Here, let me take that for you. Try the tea, it’s really good.” Stef­fan pointed to the two cups on the table.
“Mmmm, that IS good. That’s really good”, Saskia replied, clutch­ing the warm cup.
“Sorry, I inter­rupted you. You were say­ing?“
“I don’t know. What was I say­ing? I can’t remember.”

  • Feel­ing relieved, relaxed and com­fort­able (and safe!) is way bet­ter than being stressed. Unless you’re Bhudda, in which case both things are equally distracting.
