Antsy Ant Antag­o­nist Ante­cedes Anthos Mean­ing: I orig­i­nally wanted to pho­to­graph a flower (greek ‘anthos’) fur­ther up in the pic­ture but my atten­tion was dis­tracted by a fid­gety (antsy) lit­tle ant who became the ini­tial focus (ante­cedes) and took cen­ter stage con­trary to the orig­i­nal flower (becom­ing the antagonist).

Is it safe, mom?

Where I live there are plenty of chip­munks scur­ry­ing around, always busy, usu­ally cheeks stuffed with what­ever they find (which is more than just peanuts). Though unde­ni­ably cute (yup) and play­ful I usu­ally only see them run­ning around alone, except for the occa­sional quib­bles with one
